Golden Yunnan features black leaves generously flecked with golden buds, giving a slightly peppery, brisk liquor and a distinctly pronounced aroma. It's a highly regarded golden tip tea from the highlands of China's Yunnan province.
In English, "Yunnan" literally means "south of the clouds", a fitting name for a region where snow-capped mountains and alpine vegetation give way to subtropical and tropical valleys. Yunnan is also home to China's last 250 wild elephants, a strictly protected endangered species.
